Grizzly Brothers: Forrest & Ross
National Scouting Combine
Ross and Forrest Lurten are brothers from El Dorado Springs, Missouri who currently play for the Queen City Grizzlies. The Lurten brothers anchored a stout defensive line in the 2016 season, where both were elected as All Stars.
Ross is a pass rushing defensive end for the Grizzlies where he was a force off the edge this past season leading the Central Football League in sacks with 10.5. Forrest primarily plays defensive tackle or the opposite end of his brother, but has the speed and ability to play in a versatile defense with his hand in the dirt or rushing the passer off the edge.
The Lurten brothers are gym rats, and they look like it. Ross and Forrest have made weight training and power lifting a lifestyle where both train all year round to assure the dominance on the defensive line. The brothers pride themselves on their work ethic in the gym and in practice and claim this is what sets them apart. Their ability to stay in top shape and train all year long translates to the field where these brothers are an opposing offense’s nightmare.
Off the field, Ross is a supervisor in social services, where he has held this position for 3 years to date. He mainly works with mentally handicapped and disabled persons with behavioral disorders. He currently lives in Springfield Missouri where he enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and spending time with his girlfriend.
Forrest is a husband, father and college graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Forrest hopes to pursue a career in professional football, and once he hangs up the cleats his ultimate goal is to become a physical therapist.
The Lurten brothers are an exciting defensive tandem that has proved to be force to be reckoned with over the years. The Lurten brothers will showcase their strength and skills this March at the 2017 National Scouting Combine.
