af2 PARTNERS WITH BEYOND SPORTS, LLC. ON EXCLUSIVE ONLINE PLAYER/COACH NETWORK AND PRO COMBINES

League sets new standard of service by creating online recruiting network

and scouting combines to showcase current and future af2 athletes

CHICAGO – The arenafootball2 league (af2) and Beyond Sports, LLC. have teamed up on a unique partnership to create an exclusive online player recruiting network for current and potential af2 athletes called www.af2network.com. This unique idea, spearheaded by league President Jerry Kurz, has been brought to life thanks to the efforts of Beyond Sports and its founder and CEO Jimmy Kibble, a college standout, af2, AFL and NFLE player. The two groups have also partnered to operate professional scouting combines for af2 players and free agents interested in breaking into Arena Football.

The af2 initiated the development of this new, enhanced player recruiting network and national scouting combine element to provide its players and prospective players with an innovative way to market themselves like they have never been able to before.

With af2network.com, computer-savvy athletes can register and create web profiles that are accessible to coaches and player personnel executives in a secure and real time environment. The benefits of this ever-expanding network do not end there. Soon prospects and players will be able to update their personal information, playing experience, stats and career achievements.

I personally have had the incredible good fortune to play for a major college program, the af2, AFL, NFLE and preseason NFL, and I know first hand the difficulties in trying to get the exposure and recognition to get to the next level.

When Beyond Sports met with af2 president Jerry Kurz and his staff many months ago it was refreshing to see the "concern for the player", and this was a significant factor in entering into this agreement with the af2.

We are very excited to be offering/presenting a Network that will be utilized by coaches and arena league staff to identify and recruit talent in an exclusive athletic atmosphere, and will for the first time, give an athlete the opportunity to post a professional athletic resume, make credible stats available, and have a platform to market their talent exclusively for coaches.

Beyond Sports has developed a secure and interactive Network, that will benefit the athletes, coaches and teams. The National Scouting Combine, operated in coordination with the arena league and staffed by arena coaches, will provide combines that make sense, and allow the athlete to use the information from each Combine through their individual Network profile.

The national scouting combines will be conducted in af2 markets and at additional neutral-site environments as well.  These league-integrated combines will be run by present and former af2 coaches as well as other qualified members from the National Scouting Combine staff.  

Details on the league’s first national combine will be announced as soon as they become available.
